Application
Cooling air is supplied via a wye or tee in the flame scanner sight tube between the quartz sealing union and the burner front. The additional piping adds to the total overall length of the flame scanner sight tube and reduces the area that can be sensed by the scanner.
Part # HIAP
We offer a High Temperature Air Purge (patent pending) which will screw directly into any quartz union. When assembled, the Heat Insulating Air Purge adds only 1.5 inches to the total length of the sight tube. Assembled to one of our quartz sealing unions the total assembly is a nominal 3.5 inches in length.
Benefits
- Reduces the length of sight pipe
- Standard 1″ npt piping
- Can be used with any 1″ npt sealing union
- Built air cooling/purge port with either ½” npt or 3/8” npt connection
- Body material acts as heat sink to reduce damaging heat migrating to the flame scanner
- Body material is an electrical insulator
- High temperature material, maximum 480F (250C)
